Bleah. I've whined enough. Let's all move on, folks.
By the way, I checked the moveon.org site and it's strangely silent. So's Michael Moore. Gee. I hope he's not stuffing himself with a ham and heading to Mount Rushmore.
But if you right-wingers want to know the kind of hell you've consigned us to, then look! LOOK, damn your eyes, and expect more horrors:
Conn. Principal Bans Cupcakes From School
MILFORD, Conn. - Cupcakes became contraband at Meadowside elementary school, after Principal Robert Davis banned all celebratory sweets — a move that has made some parents sour.
Health officials said Davis adopted a new policy of using games and crafts instead of baked goods to fete birthdays, holidays and special occasions, and praised it as a way to combat childhood obesity.
No evolution? No sex ed? And now no cupcakes?
Parent Jack Fowler said no one should dictate what students can bring to school for special events. He said health and school officials have turned into the "fat police," in an attempt to rid schools of foods children enjoy. "For instance," he mouthed around a large bite of Moon Pie,"if I want to send a twelve-pack of raspberry Zingers and a Mountain Dew to school with my kid, that's my right as a dad."*
Mayor James L. Richetelli Jr. said as a parent he can understand health and school officials' concern regarding food allergies and childhood obesity, but cupcakes should remain.
So this is what the Patriot Act has spawned: fat police!
Well nobody's gonna police my fat. I've watched it and nurtured it for years, especially the pocket that I term "baby weight" even though my son is 6, and no righty nutjob is gonna take it away.
I'm watching you, President Bush! I won't let you get away with this anti-cupcake indoctrination. No fucking way. I'm drawing the line right here.
And for those of you who say that extremes on behalf of The Children are typically left-wing doctrines, I have only one reply: fuck you, logic means nothing to me.
*Okay. So I added the Moon Pie-Zinger thing. Mmmmmm. Zingers.
